Spring Preview

This weekend it was in the 50's for the first time in ages. Snow banks began to recede, and people crept, blinking, out into the sunlight. Is winter finally over? This has been a particularly cold, long, and snowy winter, and I'm sure I speak for everyone in the vicinity when I say we are thoroughly sick of crap weather.

Sunday, as Bryan and I ventured out of the apartment, we ran into some of our neighbors who told us they were busting out the grill for dinner that evening. So after our outing, Bryan and I returned with some Italian sausages and beer and met the gang in the corner of the parking lot that we all usually occupy for the entire summer. There was still plenty of snow left, as this is also the corner that our rental company plows all of the snow into, but there we were, grilling as the sun set. It was a lovely preview to warm weather to come!

Bill and Glen welcome us to the festivities.

The ultimate cooler.

The next morning, it was 30 degrees and snowing again, and our grill corner was again enshrouded. But we all know that grill season is coming, soon. And so we wait for the warm again, and dream of burgers.

Liking the ultimate cooler idea. Reminds me of a certain St. Patrick's day flat tire event and a certain Arlington policeman and a certain snowbank with food stuck in it.
